Each week, I will share three songs (or jams) I have been listening to recently that I think YOU should listen to. To check out all the previous weeks, visit thisisstormsound.com.
First up this week is Hungersite from Goose in Chicago on April 14th. This 32-minute behemoth is really led by Trevor’s bass work and Peter’s keys as the band moves through multiple distinct and amazing jamming sections.
Next we have Lingus from Snarky Puppy on November 22, 2015. Bob Reynolds destroys this one on tenor sax as Justin and Sput lay down an atypical house groove over the main solo section. Absolute MUST-hear!
Finally, we have Alligator from Phil Lesh and Friends on April 16, 1999. Trey and Page joined the lineup for a legendary three-night run. This fiery performance sees Trey and Steve Kimock go head-to-head for peak after peak as John Molo lays it down on drums.
