Each week, I will share three songs (or jams) I have been listening to recently that I think YOU should listen to. To check out all the previous weeks, click the link in the description or visit thisisstormsound.com.
This week, I have three picks from artists playing at Summer Camp Music Festival next weekend! It will be my first time attending this festival and I cannot WAIT to cover so much awesome music!
First up this week is the Chicago Soundcheck Jam from Goose’s recently released Live at the Salt Shed album. Closing out the compilation of two stellar concerts, this previously unheard improv is half an hour of pure groove – the true power of two-guitar Goose is on display!
Next we have Sweaters for Strawmen by Eggy. When I first saw them back in December, I was captivated by the strong vocal harmonies and ear worm opening guitar riff. Ready to get down to some big jams with them at the festival!
Finally, we have In The Kitchen by Umphrey’s McGee from Cleveland on January 29, 2023. A big jam from my first Umphrey’s show earlier this year, I was drawn in by the song’s catchy hooks and the expansive improv they found within – another artist I am eagerly awaiting to see this weekend!
