Each week, I will share three songs (or jams) I have been listening to recently that I think YOU should listen to. To check out all the previous weeks, click the link in the description or visit thisisstormsound.com.
First up this week is The Empress of Organos by Goose featuring Jake Cinninger and Joel Cummins of Umphrey’s McGee from Resonance Festival on July 1st. This special sit-in is full of amazing musicianship as the two guest musicians blend perfectly with Goose’s sound for a wild and crazy jam! Immediately one of the best guest spots in Goose history!
Next we have Chop Suey by Baked Shrimp from Peach Festival on June 30th. This young trio is poised to gain some serious traction and their energetic set at the Grove Stage was highlighted by this catchy tune! I look forward to seeing them again soon!
Finally, we have Say Your Prayers, the first single released by Neal Francis from his upcoming live album Francis Comes Alive. The keyboardist and his expanded band rip through the song with an incredibly tight pocket from bassist Mike Starr and drummer Collin O’Brien. I cannot WAIT to hear the whole thing soon!
