Each Friday, I will share three songs (or jams) that I have been listening to throughout that week that I think YOU should listen to. Check in here for a little bit about why I picked each one – let me know what you think of the picks on socials!
- Wysteria Lane – Goose – 3/1/22 Washington, DC
This incredibly dark excursion from my current favourite Goose show I’ve attended is one of the finest jams of 2022. Boasting a Dripfield-esque section in the middle and a powerful ending, it is not to be overlooked!

This song’s gorgeous synthesizer melody gives way to a deep groove for saxophonist Bob Reynolds to solo over. He is eventually joined by bandmates Mike “Maz” Maher and Chris Bullock for an explosive peak to the extended section. My favourite version of this tune!

Jeff Arevalo (Goose), Steve Duerst, and Rick Almarode connected in 2017 to form Tupelo Conjure, born out of a decade of rhythmic foundation between Jeff and Steve. The Florida-based group blends rock with experimental, alternative, and electronic influences to create a unique sound.
