First up this week is Head Underwater by MORE! Written by keyboardist Tom McKee, this psychedelic track is infused with that signature Tom Hamilton sound and has amazing vocal harmonies from the band. I look forward to more new music from this group soon!
Next we have Extraspecial from Mark Lettieri’s upcoming live album Out By Midnight. A more mellow track from the performance, Lettieri switches from his signature PRS to baritone guitar mid-song while the rest of the band lays into a thick pocket behind him – keyboardist Daniel Porter really shines on electric piano and synth here!
Finally, we have Carini from Phish at The Mann in Philadelphia on July 26th. Hitting triumphant modes immediately, the band locks in on a 20+ minute excursion that sets them up perfectly for liftoff at Madison Square Garden tonight – seven nights begin now!! (no video of this version circulates at the moment)
