Over the past ten days, I had the amazing opportunity to visit Austin, Texas for the Austin City Limits festival (check out my review of Goose’s performances here). During the trip, I ate my way around the city, visiting some of the best restaurants and markets with a commitment to health and organics. If you find yourself in Austin, don’t miss these places to eat at and things to do!!
Food Trucks
ATX Food Co. – Even meat-eaters love it! Made with high-quality unprocessed ingredients and located a short walk from ACL – try the stir-fry!
Li’l Nonna’s – Some of the best pizza I have ever had with toppings like their housemade “beeteroni” and vegan mozzarella! I highly recommend the VBR with artichoke and pickled jalapeños!
Ziki – Described as “Greek with a hint of Mexican”, this incredible spot has everything from falafel quesadillas to fried spanakopita bites. They do not cook with ANY seed oils, canola oils, vegetable oils (important!!), and are completely soy-free.
Downtown Restaurants
Flower Child – On a simple, soul-satisfying mission to radiate positively delicious vibes, Flower Child can cater to any dietary restrictions or preferences. So whether you’re in the mood to relax and dine in, or just grabbing a quick healthy bite to go, visit and nourish your mind, body and soul.
True Food Kitchen – Serving consciously-sourced seasonal ingredients with superpowers. Craveable food that boosts your mood. Eat optimistically at True Food, another restaurant where everyone will be happy!
The Well – The Well blends top-tier nutrition, local and sustainable farming, and authentic flavors for a breakthrough culinary experience that redefines healthy food in Downtown Austin. Visit for their happy hour menu during the week and try the chicken flautas!
Uchi – Translated from the Japanese word “home”, Uchi is located in a refurbished bungalow, serving non-traditional takes on Japanese food. You may need to book your tables well in advance, but it is worth it!
Nori – You maybe wouldn’t think that Texas would be known for its Japanese cuisine, but the second restaurant of its kind that we visited, this one 100% vegan, had some absolutely exceptional rolls!
Breakfast and Brunch
Rebel Cheese – A 100% vegan deli, cheese, and wine shop. Their beautiful streetside patio is the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious sandwich or charcuterie board on a warm Austin evening.
Bouldin Creek Café – At the heart of their business is the belief in paying a living wage, supporting the community through fundraising, donating meals to those in need, and amplifying the voices of the marginalized. A great place to enjoy a weekend brunch!
Daytime Activities
Barton Springs Natural Pool – A gorgeous natural swimming spot to cool off on a hot day!
Austin Rowing Club – Rent paddleboards or kayaks and enjoy the beautiful Colorado River!
Farmers’ Markets – Always visit a local farmers’ market wherever you are!! Discover small and amazing brands from the area and support organic farmers!

Fam Organics – Fam Organics eases your mind by offering USDA Organic CBD products and providing education so you can find the immediate relief you need and get back to being you again!
Beverages
Third Eye Meditation – Located a short walk from the Austin City Limits site at Zilker Park, Third Eye is an air-conditioned spot that is perfect for cooling off in the middle of the day. Their healing chocolate drinks, both hot and cold, will power you back up to finish out the music festival!
Alchemy Juice – Located right near Third Eye, pick up a wellness shot or a nutritious green juice as a refreshment on your way to ACL!
